FIREFLY began with the idea of giving back to the community and making charitable contributions with total transparency of funds. FIREFLY is a rewarding charity where every transaction gives the holders extra fireflies automatically and supports the charity.

Right now INDIA India is at the epicenter of the global pandemic with COVID-19 cases rising daily and over half of the world's cases of COVID-19 are in India right now, with the numbers of new daily cases consistently over the 300,000 mark. Firefly's initial focus is to help in these needy times with the charitable amount community can provide.

The number of deceased persons is almost 2,87,459 and day by day this number is increasing due to many difficulties faced by the healthcare sector with lack of oxygen supply and medicine dosages. A Positive Sign - Many charities are helping in these tough times with many people's generous contributions. GiveIndia has ordered 20,000 oxygen concentrators, 14,000 oxygen cylinders for Delhi and Bengaluru, and 10 PSA (pressure swing adsorption oxygen-generation) plants. At an average cost of Rs 60,000 per concentrator and Rs 15,000 for cylinders, the cost of concentrators and cylinders alone amounts to Rs 141 crore.
